The event is held in conjunction with the CERIS - DISASTER RESILIENT SOCIETIES Cluster Conference 2022. It will gather technologies, practitioners, academics, and industry from Europe, Japan, and Korea to discuss and share advances in technologies for use by first responders in major man-made and natural disasters.
The EU-Japan Symposium on Use of Advanced Technologies for First Responders in Major Disasters will be held online from March 21st to March 25th this year. It will gather technologies, practitioners, academics, and industry from Europe, Japan, and Korea to discuss and share advances in technologies for use by first responders in major man-made and natural disasters.
The symposium will be held partially in conjunction with an event sponsored by the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS). The name of the event is the DISASTER RESILIENT SOCIETIES Cluster Conference and will be held from March 23rd through March 25th. While both events are different in scope, we are coming together on March 25th, through a discussion panel intended to promote dissemination and exploitation of research results obtained from collaborative research between Europe and Japan in the area of disaster response and resilience through technology. Because of the timezone differences, the event will be held partially prerecorded (asynchronously) and partially live (synchronously). The symposium will consist of prerecorded keynotes and live panels.
